There’s a number of reasons why you should avoid plastic cups. One major reason is BPA or bisphenol-A – an estrogen-like chemical added to post polycarbonate plastics, such as plastic cups, plastic bottles, plastic containers, lining of tin cans, and many more. According to research, BPA is associated with feminizing of boys, early puberty in girls, and reduced fertility in both sexes. As a matter of fact, in utero exposure is connected to the abnormal development of sex organs in fetus.

Here are the other reasons why you should avoid using plastic cups.

 1.It Can Make You Feel Really Sick 

Although it’s common to suffer from a wide range of health issues as you age, you have to ask yourself if what’s happening to you, still a part of getting older or something else. Chances are, it can also be the result of toxic overload in your body. Most of us are probably aware that illnesses and disorders, such as arthritis, cancer, Alzheimer’s, vision impairment, heart disease, and many other health problems continue to arise. Can this be the cause of using too much plastic? Plastic food and beverage containers are becoming more and more popular, because they’re cheap, disposable, and convenient. However, research shows that these plastic materials are also packed with toxic compounds that could trigger a number of health problems, such as cancer and impotence.

2.Safe Plastic Doesn’t Exist

Recently, plastics that contain the super toxic compound called BPA has been in the news a lot. For this, a lot of consumers have been in search of ways on how to avoid BPA, and manufacturers have taken advantage of this by creating products that are “BPA-free.” The truth is, this is nothing, but a lie. Even when the products are BPA-free, this doesn’t mean that they’re completely safe. Some use BPS instead– a close cousin of BPA that’s also toxic.

Also the problem with BPA is the fact that it can easily transfer from the container into neighboring substances, such as water, saliva, and food. Furthermore, contact with acidic, alkaline, heat, and other substances can also accelerate the process. BPA has the ability of leaching into groundwater from plastics piled in landfills.
