This is a tip that is largely going against what you have probably read elsewhere, but having meat more as a side dish rather than the main course is going to be more beneficial to you losing weight as well as getting into shape. The reason for this is that it is better if you have more unprocessed food as well as fruit and vegetables so your diet should focus primarily on your greens. Also forget about those healthy snacks as they are often not what they seem.
Keep An Eye On Portions
Some people would lead you to believe that you can eat as much as you want of certain foods and your body will love you for it. Well, even though they do mean healthy food it is still better for you to look at the size of your portions and not to get carried away. Stop eating seconds, and if you are following your own food plan make sure that you stick to it and carefully measure out your portion before starting. Keeping a tight control of this is going to make life so much easier for you when it comes to losing weight and you are still going to get the correct amount of nutrients to power your body and to help you get into shape.
Change Working Out Partners
It is widely accepted that people get on better when they have a partner that they can work out with as one person manages to push on the other. However, what is less well known is that it is often better to have more than one and to change the person you are working out with on a semi-regular basis. The problem here is that we all hit a plateau in either our fitness goals or our weight loss goals and if you are hitting it at the same time as your partner it does mean that you are going to be in trouble. Changing partner means you have a different approach and will be pushed in a different way, so getting rid of those last few pounds or pushing that run a little bit further will become less of a problem.
